Battaglia chiede a san Gennaro: si fermi il sangue della guerra

Archbishop Domenico Battaglia called for an end to global and local violence during a mass following the liquefaction of the blood of St. Januarius. The event took place at 10:04 a.m. at the Naples Cathedral, where crowds gathered to witness the phenomenon.

During his homily, Battaglia urged those in power to stop fighting, specifically addressing those who use weapons, issue military orders, or draw borders that result in bloodshed. He stated that victory cannot be claimed when it is built upon the bodies of children and noted that no flag is large enough to cover the coffin of an innocent person.

The archbishop also addressed internal conflict, comparing the activities of the Camorra to an undeclared war. He described the criminal organization as a form of warfare that lacks uniforms or peace treaties but continues to cause harm.
