Bênção dos Capacetes: pároco dos Anjos e Arroios concilia duas paixões, motos e Jesus Cristo

Father Paulo Araújo Lisboa uses a motorcycle to assist in his pastoral work for the Anjos and Arroios parishes and his roles as spiritual assistant to the Instituto Prisional de Lisboa and the Polícia Judiciária. Speaking to Agência Ecclesia on September 18, 2026, the priest said the motorcycle is a practical tool for traveling and parking while serving these different locations within the Patriarchate of Lisbon.

Father Paulo Araújo Lisboa noted that his passion for motorcycles and his mission to preach the Gospel work well together. He described the motorcycle as an instrument for the various missions he carries out throughout the patriarchate.

The Sanctuary of Fátima will host the 11.ª Peregrinação Nacional da ‘Bênção dos Capacetes’ this Sunday, September 20. The event expects thousands of motorcyclists to gather for prayer and road safety awareness.
