Biblioteca Vaticana opens AQVA exhibit

The Vatican Library has opened the AQVA exhibition as part of a series titled Catastrophe and Wonder. The exhibition explores how fears can be transformed into beauty and knowledge by examining water as both a life-giving force and a threat through ancient books and contemporary works.

The display features several contributors. The artist JR has placed a work titled Diluvium on the facade of the library to represent climate change. Bill Moran has created pieces that turn letters and typographic signs into sea creatures, while chef Fulvio Pierangelini presents cooking as a social act.
