Big dreams, big giving propel MIS to national recognition

Mary Immaculate Catholic Parish and School in Farmers Branch won the 2026 Blackbaud Fueling Greatness Award as the North American winner this August. The award recognizes organizations that set and meet ambitious mission goals.

Father Alfonse Nazzaro, the pastoral administrator of Mary Immaculate, said the parish and school earned the recognition by reaching a $1 million fundraising goal during last year's North Texas Giving Day. This marked the first time the community reached a seven-figure revenue target in a single year.

The school's logo appeared on a Nasdaq billboard in Times Square in New York City to mark the selection. This follows a previous appearance on the same billboard in March.
