Bishop Andrej Sajeta delivers homily at mass before deanery conference

Bishop Andrej Sajeta delivered a homily during Mass before the Kočevje–Žužemberk deanery conference in the Diocese of Novo Mesto. The gathering occurred at the start of September as priests met for deanery conferences to mark the beginning of the new pastoral year.

The conference follows the expiration of mandates for all deans and vice deans on September 1, 2026. Under a new arrangement, the diocese consists of the Črnomelj, Kočevje–Žužemberk, Leskovec, and Novo mesto deaneries.
