Bishop Anton Jamnik blesses monument to Servant of God Jožef Frančišek Buh

Bishop Anton Jamnik blessed a monument to Servant of God Jožef Frančišek Buh on Sunday, September 27, at his birthplace in Zadobje. The ceremony took place following a Mass at the St. Vitus parish church in Lučine.

The monument, created by Jožef Pavlič, stands at Zadobje 2 near the Kovkar. During the Mass, Bishop Jamnik described Buh as a candidate for beatification who lived a life of heroic virtue that led those around him to sense his sanctity. Parish priest Jožef Plut encouraged the congregation, particularly those from Buh's home parish, to pray for his swift beatification.

The official process for Buh's beatification began on September 22 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Rosary in Duluth, Minnesota, where the Slovenian missionary's remains are interred.
