Bishop Domenico Sorrentino brings relics to St. John Paul II Newman Center

Bishop Domenico Sorrentino brought the relics of San Francesco, Santa Chiara d’Assisi, and San Carlo Acutis to the St. John Paul II Newman Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

The retired bishop of the dioceses of Assisi–Nocera Umbra–Gualdo Tadino and Foligno visited the center on Wednesday, September 2, following a celebration. This visit is part of a mission in America involving the relics of the saints of Assisi.
