BISHOP DUFFY PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE LATE FR JOHN HALTON PE

Bishop Larry Duffy of the Diocese of Clogher expressed grief following the sudden death of Father John Halton, the retired parish priest of Tempo in County Fermanagh.

Father Halton was ordained in 1971 after studying at St Patrick’s College, Maynooth. He served in the Cathedral parish of Monaghan and Rackwallace, Castleblayney, Magheracloone, Lisnaskea and Maguiresbridge, Tydavnet, and Fintona. He served as the parish priest of Tempo from 1 September 2002 until his retirement in 2020.

Bishop Duffy noted that Father Halton supported people with special needs through Faith and Light alongside his parish duties.
