Bishop Gianmarco Busca leads regional priest meeting at Materdomini

Bishop Gianmarco Busca led a regional meeting for priests at the Sanctuary of San Gerardo Maiella in Materdomini on October 6, 2026. Busca, the Bishop of Mantova and Vicepresidente della CEl per il Nord, guided the morning session centered on the theme "La vita mi è fede e la fede mi è vita."

The session focused on priestly life and baptismal holiness. Busca explained that ordination does not replace a priest's baptism but shapes the shared baptismal call to holiness into a specific form of pastoral charity. He suggested that a priest's service becomes more fruitful when they remain rooted in their identity as a baptized disciple of Christ.
