Bishop Jachiet conducts pastoral visit in Belfort deanery
Bishop Jachiet met with parishioners from the four Belfort deanery parishes on Saturday, October 10, to discuss the future of the Church. The gathering took place at Sainte Thérèse le Mont church and parish hall, bringing together members from the St. Jean-Baptiste, St. Marc, St. Pierre, and Mother Teresa parishes.
During the visit, participants held workshops to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their local communities. Pastoral animation teams presented summaries of each parish, which led to group discussions about the deanery as a whole. Participants noted challenges such as poor communication between parishes and a lack of significant events organized at the deanery level.
The afternoon included presentations using slides to help the different parishes introduce themselves to one another. After the workshops, participants shared their reflections and questions with Bishop Jachiet. Father Alexandre Voisard, the dean of the Belfort parishes, led a prayer of thanks for the afternoon's discussions.
