Bishop Jerzy Mazur comments on religious education in schools

Bishop Jerzy Mazur of Ełk described recent changes to school religious education as a gradual removal of religion from schools. He spoke about the reduction of weekly religious lessons from two hours to one.

Mazur stated that religious lessons bring unique value to school education. He also addressed the public debate concerning the presence of religion in schools and the secular nature of the state.
