Bishop John Fleming celebrates Centenary Mass

Bishop John Fleming celebrated a Centenary Mass in Dromcollogher on Saturday evening to remember 48 men, women, and children who died in a major historical tragedy.

The retired Bishop of Killala, who is a native of County Limerick, spoke during the service about how the local community responded to the event. Bishop Fleming said the people of Dromcollogher avoided blame and division, instead building a resilient community through forgiveness, understanding, and mutual care.
