Bishop of Málaga speaks against polarization

Bishop José Antonio Satué of Málaga spoke against social polarization in a social media post concerning the crisis in Ceuta. He expressed concern that media and social networks make it appear impossible to feel empathy for different groups without hating others.

Satué questioned why it is difficult to feel empathy for the residents of Ceuta, particularly women and children who have struggled for over a month, while simultaneously feeling empathy for migrants who entered the city through manipulation and face an uncertain future. He invited people to view the situation through the Gospel and to address the suffering of both the local population and those arriving without clear answers.
