Bishop Roko Glasnović leads celebration of St. Teresa of Avila in Bjelovar

Bishop Roko Glasnović of Dubrovnik led a Mass celebrating the feast of St. Teresa of Avila, the patron saint of the Bjelovar Cathedral, on Thursday, October 15, 2026.

Bishop Vjekoslav Huzjak of the Bjelovar-Križevci Diocese concelebrated the Mass alongside Glasnović and local priests. During the liturgy, Bishop Huzjak welcomed the congregation, noting that the cathedral serves as the heart of the entire diocese.

In his homily, Bishop Glasnović described St. Teresa of Avila as a woman who reached a profound experience of God through significant hardships, including illness, misunderstanding, and internal struggles. He told the faithful that her life remains relatable because it demonstrates how to remain rooted in Christ despite personal challenges and questions.
