Bishop to Camden Catholic: Follow Matthew’s example

Bishop Joseph A. Williams celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit with students, faculty, and administrators at Camden Catholic High School in Cherry Hill on Sept. 21.

During his homily on the feast of Saint Matthew the Apostle and Evangelist, Bishop Williams spoke to the students about Saint Matthew's call to follow Jesus. He asked the students if they were waiting for God's call to follow Him, noting that beautiful things can happen if they say yes.

Following the Mass, Bishop Williams met with diocesan superintendent of Catholic schools Dr. Bill Watson, principal Heather Crisci, president James Hozier, president emeritus Msgr. Andrew Martin, and director of Catholic Identity Father Carlo Santa Teresa. Students also spoke with the bishop about their college plans and the start of the school year.
