Bishop Vito delivers pastoral letter

Bishop Vito delivered a pastoral letter titled Largheggia to the people of the Diocese of Rieti–San Salvatore Maggiore during the closing celebration of the Cathedral's eighth centenary. The bishop presented the document in two stages, first to representatives of various Church organizations and then to all the faithful as they left the cathedral.

The letter features a painting by Vincent Van Gogh on its cover. Through the title Largheggia, the bishop invites the community to embrace a vital enthusiasm for the faith. He encourages believers to move beyond a calculated or rational approach to religion and instead adopt a faith characterized by trust in God, even when facing challenges such as social fragmentation or the difficulty of engaging younger generations.
