Bishops demand answers on D. Osório Citora Afonso murder

The Episcopal Conference of Mozambique is demanding explanations from judicial authorities regarding the murder of D. Osório Citora Afonso. The bishops issued this demand following an extraordinary plenary assembly to address the killing of the Bishop of Quelimane and apostolic administrator.

The conference stated that nothing is known from the competent authorities about what happened. The bishops described the event as an unprecedented assassination.
