Bishops on Annual Retreat Celebrate Memorial of Padre Pio and Pray for Rain for Drought-Stricken Regions

Bishops from the Catholic Bishops Conference of Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands celebrated Mass for the Memorial of St. Pio of Pietrelcina on Wednesday at the conference chapel in Port Moresby. During the liturgy, the bishops prayed for rain to assist regions suffering from drought.

The bishops are currently participating in their annual retreat, which began on Monday and is scheduled to conclude this Friday. His Eminence Mykola Cardinal is facilitating the retreat.
