Bispo de Limoeiro do Norte suspende uso de IA em publicações oficiais de toda a diocese

Bishop André Vital Félix da Silva has suspended the use of artificial intelligence in all official publications across the Diocese of Limoeiro do Norte. This decree affects parishes, communities, pastoral groups, movements, and other Church organizations within the diocese.

The ban specifically targets the creation or alteration of human faces and voices. Bishop Silva stated the measure aims to prevent the distortion or misrepresentation of people and saints, particularly when such technology might compromise their dignity, authenticity, or recognition.
