BLOCS Names Retired SEI Executive to Board

Business Leadership Organized for Catholic Schools (BLOCS) has added John Steinmetz to its Board of Directors. Steinmetz is a resident of Oaks and the retired chief technology officer at SEI Investments.

BLOCS CEO Rob Delany said Steinmetz will use his experience in technology, operations, and organizational growth to help the scholarship organization expand throughout Pennsylvania. Steinmetz previously served as an executive at PECO Energy.

The scholarship organization currently serves more than 43,000 students at 584 schools across the state. BLOCS partners with over 500 schools to provide need-based scholarships by using the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) and Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit (OSTC) programs. These programs allow businesses and individuals to redirect part of their state tax liability to support eligible schools in exchange for tax credits.
