Bomba d’acqua a Firenze: infiltrazione agli Uffizi, nessun danno, domani apertura regolare

The Uffizi Gallery will open for regular hours tomorrow morning following a water infiltration caused by a heavy storm in Florence this afternoon.

The storm brought more than 45 millimeters of rain within one hour, causing water to leak through a skylight in a room housing seven 17th-century paintings. According to Toscana Oggi, the water splashed against the outer glass of the protective display case for Caravaggio's Bacchus.

Staff conducted inspections and confirmed that none of the artworks sustained damage. The gallery is scheduled to resume its normal operating hours tomorrow.
