Bishop Artur Ważny of Sosnowiec urged his diocesan faithful to reject pessimism and apathy in a letter published on September 20, 2026. He addressed the sense of exhaustion and emptiness that can affect both parishioners and priests when they see empty church pews and tired faces in pastoral ministry.

Bishop Ważny described the Gospel as the greatest vanguard and invited people to find meaning through life in a faith community. He suggested that the Church offers a way to move past the boredom and absurdity of modern life by seeking spiritual depth.
