Brazil Catholic youth want more doctrine, a reverent liturgy, and less politics, survey finds

Catholic youth in Brazil are seeking more religious instruction and more reverent liturgy while requesting less focus on sociopolitical issues, according to the National Survey on Youth Evangelization.

The survey, which interviewed more than 11,000 people across Brazil in 2025, indicates that young Catholics want more formation about the Church. The findings suggest that current efforts place an excessive emphasis on social and political matters.
