Brisbane priest spends decades shaping young minds across continents

Father Nick de Groot has spent 56 years as a priest, serving in roles that included youth leadership on the south side of Chicago and mentoring a future cardinal in Papua New Guinea.

According to The Catholic Leader, de Groot began his journey as a seminarian in Brisbane. He stated that giving life to other people gives him life and meaning.
