Bryan Mercier speaks on bringing lapsed Catholics home

Bryan Mercier spoke to a gathering at St. Catherine of Siena Parish on September 17 about methods for bringing lapsed Catholics back to the Church. Speaking as part of The Forum for Catholic Discipleship Lectures, Mercier addressed the topic of how to reconnect with those who have drifted away from the faith.

Mercier, the president of Catholic Truth, shared that his own religious conversion occurred while attending Franciscan University. He described his approach to reaching others as being rooted in love. Suan Sonna, the director of apologetics, introduced Mercier by noting that the topic is timely because many people attend such events to find ways to reach family members or friends who have stopped attending Mass.

The event included vespers led by Father Joseph Marcello, the pastor of St. Catherine of Siena.
