Być wiernym i odważnym – Prymas Polski na Święcie Młodych KOSTKA 2026

Archbishop Wojciech Polak, the Primate of Poland, addressed young people during the closing Mass of the KOSTKA 2026 Youth Festival in Września on September 19. Speaking at the conclusion of the event, the Archbishop of Gniezno encouraged participants to practice discernment to find the best paths in life rather than acting without direction.

During his homily, Archbishop Polak used the lives of Saint Stanislaus Kostka and Jesus to illustrate the themes of faithfulness and courage. He noted that both figures demonstrated a determination to follow their true calling, comparing the decision of Saint Stanislaus to leave a college for a pilgrimage to Rome with the decision of 12-year-old Jesus to be about his Father's business.

The Archbishop warned the youth against confusing authentic faithfulness with stubbornness or a simple desire to have their own way. He explained that the courage shown by these figures was rooted in a sense of necessity and divine purpose rather than blind persistence.
