Diocese of Calahorra y La Calzada-Logroño to hold World Day for Decent Work

The Diocese of Calahorra y La Calzada-Logroño will host the World Day for Decent Work on October 7. The Iglesia por el Trabajo Decente de La Rioja organized a public event at the Mercadal at 7:00 p.m., followed by a Mass at 7:30 p.m. at the parish of los Santos Mártires. The diocesan bishop will preside over the liturgy.

This year's theme, "Decent work in the face of exclusion," focuses on how employment does not always guarantee the stability needed for a dignified life. The organizers intend to highlight the link between job insecurity and the difficulty of accessing housing. According to the Iglesia por el Trabajo Decente de La Rioja, high rental prices, low wages, and unstable employment make it difficult for many people, particularly young people and vulnerable groups, to manage daily expenses or establish stable lives.
