Called to serve, serving with love

Tehya Archibald, an altar server at La Divina Pastora Roman Catholic Church in Siparia, shared her experiences serving the parish from 2017 to 2026.

Archibald began serving at the age of nine and participated in the parish altar servers community for nearly a decade. Her duties included presenting the Roman Missal, lighting coals for the thurible, using sacred vessels, and ringing sanctuary bells during the consecration. Beyond the Mass, she assisted with cleaning holy vessels and attended monthly training sessions.

Archibald noted that her time at the altar helped strengthen her faith and provided a sense of calm during difficult moments. She also participated in various parish activities, including retreats, field trips, and fundraisers such as Harvest Hoopla and Bingo.
