Called to Walk Together: Vision, Discernment, and Renewal for a Parish’s Future by Lubomir Martin Ondrasek

Lubomir Martin Ondrasek has published a book documenting how St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Piscataway applied the six pastoral goals of the Archdiocese of Washington at the parish level.

The book, titled Called to Walk Together: Vision, Discernment, and Renewal for a Parish’s Future, uses a series of letters written to parishioners during a discernment process. Ondrasek, the pastoral associate for formation and mission at St. Mary’s, records how the community received, discussed, and prayed over the diocesan goals.

The work details the practical translation of a diocesan mission plan into local parish practice. Ondrasek connects the process of renewal to Augustinian theology, suggesting that spiritual renewal must accompany structural changes.
