CAM 7: Igreja do Paraná participa de Simpósio internacional no Chile

The Church in Paraná participated in the International Missiological Symposium held from September 24 to 27 in Casablanca, Chile. The meeting brought together 65 participants from 19 countries to discuss missionary challenges through a process of listening and discernment.

The symposium serves as preparation for the 7th American Missionary Congress (CAM 7), which the Archdiocese of Curitiba will host from November 14 to 18, 2029. The congress theme, "America on the move: People of God who announce and witness Jesus Christ," focuses on the mission of local churches and the experience of a synodal Church.

The selection of Curitiba as the host city followed a synodal process and received unanimous support from the bishops of the CNBB South Region 2. Preparation for the 2029 congress involves several organizations, including the Pontifícias Obras Missionárias (POM), the Conferência dos Religiosos do Brasil (CRB), the Centro Cultural Missionário (CCM), missionary councils, and the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná (PUCPR).
