Cameroonian Catholic Bishop Urges Motorbike Riders to Protect Human Life, Uphold Dignity, Justice and Peace

Bishop Michael Miabesue Bibi called on motorbike riders in the Diocese of Buea to treat their work as a service to humanity rather than just a way to earn money. During the Annual Thanksgiving Mass for motorcycle riders at the Divine Mercy Co-Cathedral on Thursday, September 24, the bishop urged riders to protect human life, respect other road users, and uphold justice and peace.

Bishop Bibi told the riders they hold a significant responsibility because passengers entrust their lives to them every day. He described riders as carrying the hope of families and the future of the community. The bishop encouraged the group to thank God for their profession and for protection throughout the year, even during difficult times.

The mass included motorbike riders from across the diocese, newly elected executives, zonal leaders, and representatives from the diocesan Justice and Peace Commission and their chaplain.
