Campana Bishops call for action after Airola fire

Bishops from the Campania Episcopal Conference and the Metropolia of Benevento are calling for immediate and effective action following a serious fire at a waste storage and recycling facility in the Airola PIP area. The fire occurred within the territory of the Diocese of Cerreto Sannita–Telese–Sant’Agata de’ Goti.

Antonio Di Donna, president of the Campania Episcopal Conference, issued a note urging authorities to avoid delays and intervene quickly to address the consequences of the blaze. Meanwhile, bishops from the Metropolia of Benevento described the fire as a wound to their territory and stated that public health must take priority over all other interests.
