Canção Nova celebra Memória Litúrgica de Santa Teresinha

Canção Nova will hold religious activities on October 1, 2026, to mark the liturgical memorial of Santa Teresinha do Menino Jesus. The Carmelitas Mensageiros do Espírito Santo will host a traditional Quinta-Feira de Adoração centered on the saint's teaching about finding holiness through great love.

The schedule in Cachoeira Paulista includes several masses. Padre Wagner Ferreira will preside at 7h, followed by Padre Vagner Baía at 12h. At 16h, Frei José will preside over mass at the Santuário do Pai das Misericórdias, with Frei Rodrigo delivering the homily. The Sistema Canção Nova de Comunicação will broadcast the program.

The community is filming a feature film titled “Simplesmente Teresinha de Lisieux.” The Santuário do Pai das Misericórdias also houses a 60 cm resin statue of the saint in its Capela de Reposição Eucarística, which was donated following the visit of her relics in September 2024.
