Cardinal Odilo Pedro Scherer meets with Rede Vida delegation in Rome

Cardinal Odilo Pedro Scherer met with a delegation from the Rede Vida television network at the Vatican News studios in Rome. The meeting included Archbishop Paulo Mendes Peixoto of Uberaba and Rede Vida director general Monteiro Neto.

The delegation's visit included a pilgrimage that featured a Mass at St. Peter's Basilica and an audience with the Pope. The trip marks a continuation of a 30 year partnership between the Rede Vida network and Vatican Radio.

During the conversation, Cardinal Scherer noted that religious communication is an urgent evangelical task in an era of digital noise, fake news, and polarized discourse.
