Cardenal Carlos Aguiar Retes preaches on God's forgiveness

Cardinal Carlos Aguiar Retes preached that God is rich in forgiveness and remains close to those who seek him. During his sermon, the cardinal noted that when people realize they have made mistakes and confess them to God, they should have certainty of receiving mercy because God is compassionate.

The cardinal explained that prayer and invoking God should be accompanied by the intention to live according to the teachings of Jesus. He stated that recognizing Jesus walks alongside people to help them makes it easier to live a life worthy of the Gospel. Aguiar Retes also described the words of Jesus as being full of mercy.
