Caritas di Lanciano-Ortona welcomes 4 volunteers for civil service

Caritas di Lanciano-Ortona has welcomed four university students to begin their civil service. The volunteers, Anita, Matteo, Mattia, and Francesco, are all from Lanciano and will work at the diocesan Caritas office as part of a project shared with other locations in the Abruzzo dioceses.

The volunteers will assist with administrative tasks such as managing numbers, organizing products, and paying bills. Their roles also include listening to people, providing consolation, and offering psychological support.

The participants expressed different motivations for joining the program. Anita, a 26-year-old linguistic mediation student, stated her goal is to be useful to others and expects the experience to be enriching. Matteo, 22, a student of cardiocirculatory pathophysiology and cardiovascular perfusion, Mattia, 22, a business economics student, and Francesco, 20, a philosophy and psychological techniques student, noted that the service will also provide practical experience for their future careers.
