CARTA PASTORAL CON MOTIVO DE LA APERTURA DEL AÑO JUBILAR COROMOTANO

The Diocese of Maracay has declared a Coromoto Jubilee Year to celebrate the 375 anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of Coromoto to the Cacique and his family. The jubilee will run from September 8, 2026, to September 8, 2027, according to a pastoral letter from the diocese.

The celebration also marks the 75 anniversary of the solemn canonical coronation of Our Lady of Coromoto. This event established her as the celestial and principal patroness of Venezuela.

The diocese is joining the Diocese of Guanare and other ecclesiastical jurisdictions in Venezuela for this period of celebration. The announcement is addressed to priests, deacons, consecrated religious, seminarians, lay movements, and the faithful of the Maracay diocese.
