Casa de Francisco e Clara and PUCPR to hold Franciscan Week with animal blessing, art exhibition and mass

Casa de Francisco e Clara and the Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná (PUCPR) will host Franciscan Week from October 2 to 6, 2026. The event commemorates the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi and the 4th anniversary of the Casa de Francisco e Clara.

The program begins Friday, October 2, at 16h30 with an animal blessing tent at Praça Cívica. On Monday, October 5, at 19h, the Casa de Francisco e Clara will host the opening of an art exhibition titled “Francisco: Irmão de Todos – Arte, Fraternidade e Esperança na Casa Comum.”

The week concludes on Tuesday, October 6, with a celebratory Mass at 16h30 at the Casa de Francisco e Clara chapel. The Casa de Francisco e Clara is an affiliate of PUCPR that works in social transformation, integral ecology, and solidarity economy.
