Diocese of Arlington acquires 8-acre site in Chantilly

The Catholic Diocese of Arlington has purchased three adjacent properties at 14532 Lee Road in Chantilly, Virginia, creating a new 8-acre site.

The diocese is considering using the land for a Catholic career and technical education high school and an evening adult learning center. If established, the high school would become the fifth diocesan high school and one of the first institutions of its kind in the American Catholic Church.

According to the diocese, these plans follow its strategic plan, which was developed through surveys and focus groups involving clergy, religious, and lay faithful. Officials will continue consultations and discernment regarding the future use of the properties in the coming weeks.
