Bishop Maksym Ryabuha, the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Exarch of Donetsk, shared the experiences of the Church in Ukraine during the European Forum "Shaping Synodality in Europe: From Vision to Roadmap" in Wels, Austria. The forum took place from September 14 to 16.

Bishop Ryabuha described synodality not as a theoretical model or a set of Church mechanisms, but as a daily reality involving brotherhood, mutual responsibility, support, and spiritual accompaniment. He noted that for those in Ukraine, the war is experienced directly through their own homes rather than through news reports.
