Archbishop Kondrusiewicz welcomed the Mother of God of Mercy icon in Adelsk

Archbishop Emeritus Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz joined the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Adelsk on October 24 to welcome an icon of the Mother of God of Mercy.

The icon is a copy of the Mother of God of Ostrobramska, the patroness of the Grodno Diocese, and is traveling as part of a pilgrimage marking the 35th anniversary of the diocese. This pilgrimage began on April 18 and is scheduled to conclude on November 16, visiting all churches and chapels within the diocese.

During the visit, Archbishop Kondrusiewicz celebrated Mass and delivered a homily. He noted that the devotion to the Mother of God of Ostrobramska is widespread in the region and described the empty hands of the Virgin Mary in the icon as a symbol of her readiness to help people.
