Catholic sisters bring fight to end human trafficking to U.N. General Assembly

Catholic sisters Sister Gertrude Elelegu and Sister Sarah Puls joined Devex cofounder Alan Robbins on Sept. 24 in New York to address human trafficking at the U.N. General Assembly.

Sister Elelegu, a member of the Sisters of St. Louis from Nigeria, and Sister Puls, a member of the Sisters of St. Gabriel from Australia, have spent many years working to reduce global human trafficking. Their work includes helping people recover from the trauma caused by trafficking.
