CBA soccer team still holding its own after eight starters graduate

Christian Brothers Academy soccer players in Lincroft are maintaining a strong season despite the graduation of eight starters. The departing players accounted for 46 of the 60 goals scored by the team last season.

Coach Tom Mulligan reported that the team has won six games and holds a 6-2-1 record heading into the halfway point of the regular season. Mulligan said he is pleasantly surprised by the results the team has achieved against high-quality opponents.

The program seeks to return to championship form after its last Shore Conference Tournament title in 2023. Mulligan noted that players feel pressure to reach tournament finals because they are aware of the school's history of past championships.
