Celebraciones jubilares por el Padre Arnaiz al final de su Jubileo

Bishop Emeritus Jesús Catalá presided over a Holy Mass on January 18 at the Sacred Heart Church in Málaga to mark the conclusion of the jubilee celebrations for Father Tiburcio Arnaiz. The evening Mass followed a solemn opening held on January 2.

The Missionaries of the Rural Doctrines noted that Bishop Catalá's connection to Father Arnaiz was significant because the beatification process for the Jesuit was completed during his time as bishop of Málaga. Under his leadership, the Church approved Arnaiz's heroic virtues, recognized a miracle, and held his beatification ceremony at the Cathedral on October 20, 2018.

During that beatification, the bishop described Arnaiz as the Apostle of Málaga and encouraged the local Church to imitate his humility, obedience, and devotion to the Eucharist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus. He called on the faithful to follow Arnaiz's example as an evangelizer to better witness to Christ.
