Celebrando al Divino Salvador nos hicimos familia

The Salvadoran community at San Lucas Church in Irving celebrates the feast of the Divine Savior of the World on the first Sunday of August. This annual event allows parishioners to honor their patron saint in a manner similar to the traditional August Festivals held in El Salvador.

The feast commemorates the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, when he revealed his divinity to the apostles Peter, James, and John. In El Salvador, the central celebration of this feast occurs every August 6.
