Church crisis response underpins women leaders’ aid case to Canberra

Christian women leaders from Micah Australia met with several federal government officials in Canberra to urge the lifting of aid funding. The delegation met with Foreign Minister Penny Wong, Senator Deborah O’Neill, MP Tim Watts, independent MP Zali Steggall, and One Nation members Pauline Hanson and Barnaby Joyce.

The leaders cited a global need for assistance due to climate disasters, conflict, and displacement. The group presented their case to the officials to advocate for increased support for those affected by these crises.
