Church of the Incarnation in Mantua seeks Director of Religious Education

Church of the Incarnation in Mantua is seeking a full-time Director of Religious Education to lead the implementation of a new faith formation program called Educating In Christ. This program uses a Montessori model adapted from the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd to teach children at different developmental stages.

The director will report to the pastor and manage the transition to this new curriculum over the next year. Responsibilities include coordinating programs and classes for youth religious education, managing the youth religious education budget, and presenting an annual calendar of events. The position also involves overseeing sacraments such as First Eucharist, Reconciliation, Confirmation, and OCIA for children and teens, as well as organizing retreats and rehearsals.

The role requires working 40 hours per week, including Tuesday and Wednesday evenings for youth classes and weekends for sacrament celebrations. The director must ensure all diocesan curriculum requirements are met and that all individuals working with children comply with VIRTUS training and certifications. The Diocese of Camden estimates the annual salary for this position to be between $48,500 and $52,500.
