Cinema: livro reúne textos VP de Alexandre Freire Duarte

Edições Carmelo has published Sopros de Espiritualidade desde o Cinema (1940-2019), a book by theologian and professor Alexandre Freire Duarte that collects his film critiques previously published in Voz Portucalense.

The book serves as a theological and spiritual tool for the general public, Christian educators, and pastoral workers, particularly those working with young people. Duarte uses the connection between cinema and Christian life to explore themes from prominent films released over the last 80 years to encourage spiritual growth.

The work includes a preface by José María Guibert, S.J. In his introduction, Duarte states his intention to help readers express love for God as a Father, the Church as a mother, and others as brothers and sisters.
