Cinema: premiate le opere prime “I figli della scimmia” e “Dov’è la Fiesta?”

Two debut films, "I figli della scimmia" and "Dov’è la Fiesta?", arrived in theaters on September 17.

Tommaso Landucci's drama, "I figli della scimmia," was the only Italian film to receive awards at the 83rd Venice Film Festival in the Orizzonti section, winning for best screenplay and for Riccardo Scamarcio's male acting performance. Landucci co-wrote the script with Damiano Femfert, a text that previously won the Solinas Prize in 2021. The story explores the inner life of a parent raising a child with a significant disability. The cast includes Scamarcio, Fausto Russo Alesi, Lidiya Liberman, Tancredi Naldini, and Andrea Aggio.

Niccolò Gentili's romantic comedy, "Dov’è la fiesta?", is also in theaters. Gentili co-wrote the film with Lisa Nur Sultan. The story follows a couple in their 30s dealing with a car theft and existential questions, starring Francesco Carril and Linda Caridi.
