Cobo abre la Semana de la Palabra: «Dios no se cansa de llamar»

Cardinal José Cobo opened the Week of the Word at the Almudena Cathedral with a Mass to mark the start of the pastoral year for the Church in Madrid. The week of celebrations will take place in every parish and pastoral community to encourage people to live more intensely according to the Word of God and to follow Jesus Christ.

During the Mass, Cardinal Cobo stated that God calls people many times throughout their lives and does not tire of calling. He noted that the life of the Church and its preaching must be nourished and guided by the Word of God, referencing the Second Vatican Council document Dei Verbum. The archbishop warned against the danger of performing religious actions without listening to the voice of the Lord.
